Story: Your standard save the world affair. Really I think you should know DBZ's story by now, so why should I even mention it? It's a fairly good story that's simple yet complex all at the same time with a small bit of room for improvement. 8/10
Characters: I do not even know where to begin with this, everyone is just as I remember them. Goku's kind, Vegeta's badass, Piccolo kicks ass, and Krillin's still the biggest pussy you'll ever see that isn't in a poorly written, overly thought out mecha based anime that doesn't really have mechs. 10/10, just for Yamcha.
Music: Remember that awesome music they had in the Japanese version, or that god awful soundtrack they used for the US version? Both gone, hell yes! This time around we have a mix of orchestra, synth rock, metal and Jpop, and never does it seem to get old. No matter how much you hate it though, you will be chanting "Dokan, Dokan Suiteru" whenever nobody's around, it's just that catchy. The orchestrated music is simply beautiful, while the synth rock/metal pieces are amazingly beast and they never seem out of place, this earns DBK yet another 10/10.
Fights: Not quite Escaflowne, but much better than Guyver's fights I'll give it that. No more do the fights consist of 10-15 episodes each, the fight with Raditz was thankfully taken down from 7 episodes to being only 2. It just doesn't feel like a chore to watch anymore, and that makes everything better. While some filler was kept in during the fights, charging up mid-fight only happens at the end of an episode and usually finishes the start of the next episode, so it all blends together nicely. Again, the fights are free of most charging. 8/10
Visuals: Here's what most worry about, the visuals. How does it stack up to today's anime when we live in a world of Naruto and Hetelia which both have amazing art and clear visuals. DBK tops both. It looks great, digitally remastered and such. However some frames were destroyed so they redid a good number of them, which while you can tell the difference between the ones that were redone and the ones that weren't, it all seems to blend together very smoothly and never look awkward. Also in the intro Vegeta manages to pull of a Falcon Punch better than the Captain can do, so that awards this a few extra points. 9/10
English or Japanese?: Seeing as it's only in one of those languages, you guess.
Overall: Shorter, faster and all around better. This brings the franchise that is Dragonball all the way back to being the ultimate action adventure cartoon. The clarity is amazing, the music is just viewtiful, and the action is better than ever with less filler and a faster moving story worthy of being in theaters (however not as a live-action flick mind you) Dragonball Kai is where it's at if you want good fight scenes, lovable characters and again, some of the catchiest tunes you'll ever hear you would be hard pressed to find any action series animated or not, that is better. Toriyama and Toei, you kids are all right, let's just hope they do the same to the good old prequel. But no redoing GT... no GT for the Ginyu Force.

Keep up the great work in your Gallery too.
